*WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
You need boxing gloves for our classes. We sell trial gloves at the gym if you do not have any. We also sell fingerless Harbinger gloves, which you can upgrade to at our location, or you can bring your own gloves.
*DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR A SPECIFIC START DATE?
THe start dates apply only to the 10 Week Challenge, not to our other memberships. You can sign up fpr membership whenever you want.
*HOW OFTEN DOES A NEW 10 WEEK CHALLENGE BEGIN?
We start new 10 Week Challenges very often due to high demand. Please check the Welcome page for the next start date or call us at 201-963-7774.
*DO I HAVE TO HAVE PREVIOUS KICKBOXING EXPERIENCE?
No, we encourage everyone to take a CKO Kickboxing class, whethher you have taken kickboxing before or not. An orientation is given to everyone prior to their first class, which includes demonstration and practice of the kicks and punches.
*ARE THERE ADVANCED AND BEGINNER CLASSES?
No. The classes are not run at different levels because everyone is working with their own heavybag. You are able to go at your own pace. We encourage you to go slow in the beginning and then increase your pace as you take more classes.
*ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
General membership begins at eighteen -- but if a teenager would like to join, they simply need to have a parent or guardian come in with them to sign on their behalf. We offer Kids Classes for ages 4 to 12. Call 201-963-7774 if you have questions.
*ARE THE CLASSES CO-ED?
Yes. All of the classes at CKO Kickboxing are co-ed.
*AM I RESTRICTED TO A CERTAIN NUMBER OF CLASSES PER WEEK?
No. Once you become a CKO member, you can take an unlimited number of classes throughout the duration of your membership.
*IF I JOIN THIS LOCATION, CAN I USE ALL LOCATIONS?
As a member of CKO in Hoboken (a platinum location), you can use all of our locations except Brooklyn.
Our locations offer different membership levels: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Elite.*
Silver Membership: Can use Silver locations only.
Gold Membership: Can use Silver and Gold locations only.
Platinum Membership: Can use all Silver, Gold, and Platinum locations.
Elite Membership: Can use all locations.
